Services
The Ballard Food Bank distributes food to those in the 98107, 98117, 98119 and 98199 zip codes, including home delivery to elderly and disabled clients.
We offer several programs to assist our neighbors in need. Food distribution is our core program; we also distribute personal hygiene items to families and individuals having difficulty in making ends meet, including homeless clients. In addition, we provide a basic level of emergency financial assistance for those with eviction notices, utility shut-offs or lost IDs. We also provide mail services to homeless clients--essential when looking for employment and housing, and to have access to care providers. The Ballard Food Bank provides referral services to help those in emergency situations find the proper agency to get the help they need.
First-Time Clients
To register, please bring a photo I.D. and a current proof of address (a piece of mail that you've received within the past 30 days) for yourself and others living in your household (school or medical records for children living with you.) We update our files at the beginning of each year.
